The Carol Trains...
The ever popular West Somerset Railway Carol Trains are hauled by heritage steam locomotives to recreate the era of Christmas gone by.
In 2010, the trains run on Monday 13 December, Tuesday 14 December and Wednesday 15 December - one Carol Train starts from Bishops Lydeard and another Carol Train starts from Minehead. Each train makes a return trip to Williton and back.
Please arrive at 6.30pm to see the locomotive waiting in steam and the band preparing for the carols. Once all the passengers are aboard, the train will depart at 7.00pm to make the round trip to Williton.
Along the way the train will stop at the intermediate stations whilst carols are sung on the platform accompanied by the band. Please bring a torch as it will be dark.
The Carol Train fares...
The fare is £8.50 per Adult and £6.00 per Child (aged 5-15).
