There are hundreds of active volunteers helping to run the West Somerset Railway. Of course, new volunteers are needed and welcomed.
The West Somerset Railway Association encourages people with or without railway skills or background to join in the volunteer work and activities of the Railway. More details can be found on the WSRA websiteExternal Links.

» Volunteers are urgently needed for the Saturday Evening Quantock Belle Dinner Train on 14 August. If you are available this Saturday evening and would like to volunteer on the QB as a steward or a wine waiter, please ring the Association Manager on 01823 431311 as soon as possible. Your help will be very much appreciated!

The Heritage Carriages Project
Work is underway to restore two rakes of former Great Western Railway heritage carriages. This work requires many volunteers with a very wide range of skills with woodworking, metalworking and upholstery being foremost.
