The WSR and Pardoes Solicitors discounted rates for Wills
Legacy
The WSR is pleased to announce confirmation of the discounted rates for Wills, as agreed by Pardoes Solicitors, for all Staff of the WSR and Members of the WSRA. To gain this discounted rate, please show Pardoes your WSR ID card or use the new Legacy Leaflet with the Pardoes logo within.
The price for a Single simple Will is £100 plus VAT and for a pair of Mirror simple Wills is £130 plus VAT. Additionally, Pardoes offer a discount of 25% off their normal rate for time spent on any additional work needed to complete a Will - that is work over and above that of a simple Will.
A simple Will is one where:
  • An individual leaves all their estate (other than a legacy to the WSR) to their spouse or civil partner and/or their children or grandchildren or to the WSR or one Charity, with some provision to cover the possibility of children or grandchildren all dying without inheriting.
    • there would be no complicated Trusts;
    • no Inheritance Tax advice is given; and
    • there are no specific gifts other than a legacy to WSR; and there are no issues over the individual's capacity to make a Will, there is no advice given about potential claimants on the individual's estate and no suggestion of undue influence.
  • Turning next to mirror Wills, these be between husband and wife or civil partners, and otherwise follow the same format as for an individual's Will as outlined above.
  • Any time dealing with for example Inheritance Tax advice, complicated scenarios (Wills of individuals who have been married before or who have children by separate relationships, for example) will be charged for, albeit at the discounted rate.
